Each of my bowls starts as a rough block of ‘green wood’ from the woodpile. On the lathe, it is turned into a thick, roughly formed bowl, which is slowly dried for six months. It is then re-turned on the lathe and its final shape is revealed. My 'one of a kind' bowls are made from maple, cherry, birch, walnut, beech and ash. Sizes vary from 6 to 26 inches in diameter and up to 12 inches deep. They are perfect for use as salad or fruit bowls and make very special gifts.
