Shiatsu therapy is a deep form of manual bodywork that traces its' roots through 5000 years of eastern medical thought. Literally translated it means "finger pressure." Shiatsu is often described as "acupuncture without needles."
I graduated from the professional program at the Shiatsu School of Canada in 1995 with a Diploma of Shiatsu Therapy (Dipl.S.T.). This designation is your assurance of a quality, wel trained therapist.
The professional program at S.S.C. is a 2200 hour two year course of study. The curriculum includes emphasis on western sciences of anatomy and physiology and pathology as well as Eastern medical theory and practice. This represents the most extensive training in Shiatsu outside Japan.
In my eleven years of professional practice I have had success in treating acute injuries as well as more chronic conditions that have proven resistent to other more conventional modalities.
I believe in wellness through balance, and look forward to serving your needs
